Selection of corrosion-resistant acid pumps under the below working conditions |
Selection of corrosion-resistant acid pumps under the below working conditions
1. Hydrochloric acid pump
The concentration of ordinary hydrochloric acid is as high as 38%, so hydrochloric acid pumps basically only need plastic flow components. From the aspects of service life and cost effectiveness, FSB fluorine alloy centrifugal pumps or CQBF magnetic pumps can be selected
2. Sulfuric acid pump
There are two types of sulfuric acid pumps: dilute sulfuric acid pump and concentrated sulfuric acid pump. The former has a wide range of options, while dilute sulfuric acid pump is selected from engineering plastic pump, ceramic pump, F46 pump, and F26 pump. The latter is selected from fluoroplastic F46 pump for concentrated sulfuric acid pump. Concentrated sulfuric acid corrodes ordinary engineering plastics, and the density of concentrated sulfuric acid is high. When choosing a pump, attention should be paid to increasing the power of the motor
3. Hydrofluoric acid pump
Hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive, and it is recommended to choose a fluoroplastic magnetic pump for acid resistant pump selection (and the ceramic parts of the pump must be changed to hydrofluoric acid resistant materials)
4. Nitric acid pump
Acid resistant pumps are recommended for nitric acid pumps, and fluoroplastic magnetic pumps are recommended. The rubber sealing ring should be made of PTFE material
5. Acetic acid pump
Acetic acid is one of the highly corrosive substances in organic acids. Ordinary steel will corrode severely in all concentrations and temperatures of acetic acid. Stainless steel is an excellent material resistant to acetic acid, and 316 stainless steel containing molybdenum is also suitable for high temperatures and dilute acetic acid vapor. When high temperature and high concentration acetic acid and other corrosive media are strictly required, acid resistant pumps can choose high alloy stainless steel and fluoroplastic magnetic pumps. For example, CQB magnetic pump, CQ stainless steel magnetic pump
6. Saltwater (seawater) pump
Ordinary steel has a higher corrosion rate in sodium chloride solution, seawater, and saltwater, and generally requires coating protection; The uniform corrosion rate of various stainless steels is also very low, but it may be localized corrosion caused by chloride ions. 316 stainless steel is generally better, but the price is relatively high. It is recommended to choose fluoroplastic centrifugal pumps, such as IHF chemical centrifugal pumps or FS fiberglass centrifugal pumps.
